Fall Apple Crisp

Apples are falling and it's time to put them to good use! I have been canning applesauce this week and I decided to whip up a dish of warm apple crisp to snack on while I was working. Oh my! I cannot get enough of the tart apple taste with a buttery crumble topping.
This is a quick and easy recipe, perfect for a fall dessert or party.
Enjoy!

Recipe: Fall Apple Crisp
Recipe source: Emmy in her Element

Crumble topping:
1/3 cup softened butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
pinch of salt

Filling:
5 Tart apples peeled and sliced.

Vanilla Ice cream- optional

Add sliced apples to a lightly greased 8x8 glass pan. Add crumble topping to apples, and bake in a 375 degree (F) oven for about 30 minutes or until crumble is golden and apples are softened.

If you are making this dessert for more than 4 people you will want to double it and use a 9x13 pan.

HAPPY FALL
